Austrian GP: New Team Upgrades – Full Overview

Following the major wave of development ahead of the French GP, the VFC upgrade race continues before the Austrian GP. This time, eight teams have activated new development stages. The changes range from targeted individual improvements to extensive packages covering aerodynamics, weight, technical systems and engine performance.

Falcon Simracing – clear aerodynamic progress

Falcon Simracing makes improvements in two key areas:

• Downforce: 8 → 9

• Drag: 8 → 9

With these upgrades, Falcon improves the car’s overall aerodynamic performance and continues along its chosen development path.

Blue Horns Racing – major downforce step

Blue Horns Racing focuses entirely on downforce:

• Downforce: 8 → 10*

The temporary upgrade raises the downforce value by two full levels.

Team Rookie Monsters – broad performance package

Team Rookie Monsters brings one of the most noticeable packages of the weekend:

• Downforce: 4 → 5

• Drag: 8 → 9

• Weight: 8 → 9

• Engine performance: 0 → 2

The team improves several fundamental performance areas at once. The significant increase in engine performance makes this package an especially important development step.

Ottimale EM – the most comprehensive package ahead of Austria

Ottimale EM makes progress in six different areas:

• Downforce: 6 → 8

• Drag: 6 → 7

• Weight: 8 → 9

• Internal components: 3 → 4

• KERS regen: 1 → 2

• KERS battery size: 1 → 2

This gives Ottimale the most comprehensive upgrade package ahead of the Austrian GP. The team is not only improving aero performance and weight, but also investing in its technical foundation and KERS system.

Arrow Racing – progress in the classic performance areas

Arrow Racing improves three key performance values:

• Downforce: 8 → 9

• Drag: 8 → 9

• Weight: 8 → 9

The team is taking a balanced approach to development and strengthening its overall package in all three fundamental areas.

Seawolf – focus on Drag

Seawolf NetRace Motorsport brings a targeted aero upgrade:

• Drag: 9 → 10

After introducing larger packages at previous races, Seawolf is focusing on a single area this time and specifically improving aerodynamic efficiency.

VEGA – technical development and engine performance

VEGA makes progress in three areas:

• Internal components: 3 → 4

• Fuel consumption: 2 → 3

• Engine performance: 1 → 3

The team is primarily focusing on the technical side of the car. Alongside improved internal components and fuel consumption, the major increase in engine performance stands out in particular.

Spinardi – targeted downforce upgrade

Spinardi brings one new development stage to the Austrian GP:

• Downforce: 5 → 6

The team is specifically improving its aerodynamic baseline and adding more downforce to an overall package that has already received several upgrades in recent races.

The development race remains active ahead of the Austrian GP.
