After the upgrades introduced in Malaysia, the development race in VFC continues at full speed: five teams are bringing new upgrades to the Qatar GP. The changes are clearly spread across key areas — from aero efficiency and weight optimisation to engine performance and reliability.
Optiminal Esports – major drag upgrades

Optiminal Esports takes a big step in aero development:
Drag: 6 → 8
This upgrade comes free of charge thanks to downforce/aero engineer Manabu Hihorito. The focus is clear: everything towards Drag.
Razor GP – diffuser fine-tuning

Razor goes for a targeted upgrade:
Diffuser: 2 → 3
A classic step to improve diffuser performance and refine the overall performance.
Blue Horns Racing – weight in focus

Blue Horns invests directly into weight reduction:
Weight: 3 → 5
A clear performance route — improving the package through overall vehicle weight.
Team Rookie Monsters – two areas at once

Rookie Monsters once again brings a double upgrade:
Downforce: 2 → 4
Engine cooling: 0 → 1
A package that boosts both baseline performance and technical robustness.
Ottimale EM – the most comprehensive package

Ottimale EM arrives with the biggest overall set of upgrades for Qatar:
Internal components: 0 → 2
Engine performance: 0 → 1
Engine durability: 1 → 2
By improving multiple areas at once, Ottimale underlines their ambition in development — and the team around Roy Seifert also brings two fresh engines to Qatar, giving them a potential ace up their sleeve.
While part of the grid is still waiting, Optiminal Esports, Razor GP, Blue Horns Racing, Team Rookie Monsters and Ottimale EM have already upgraded ahead of the Qatar GP. It’s an early sign that VFC 2026 won’t be decided only on track — development work will matter just as much.
