After the relatively quiet picture ahead of the San Marino GP, the development race in VFC is picking up some momentum again before the German GP. Six teams have activated new upgrade stages and taken another step forward. This time, the focus ranges from targeted technical upgrades to aerodynamic improvements and pit stop performance.

Razor GP – focus on the technical foundation

Razor GP is heading into Germany with a focused technical upgrade:

  • Internal components: 0 → 2

With this step, the team is strengthening the car’s technical foundation and investing in an area that could become even more important for future development.

Blue Horns Racing – one of the standout packages

Blue Horns Racing brings a strong upgrade package to the German GP:

  • Drag: 6 → 8

  • Diffuser: 3 → 4

  • Engine performance: 2 → 3

This allows Blue Horns to improve several key performance areas at once and sends a clear signal in the development race. The combination of aero efficiency, diffuser performance and engine output makes this package especially interesting.

Ottimale EM – the most comprehensive package of the weekend

Ottimale EM is making progress in several areas ahead of Germany:

  • Downforce: 6 → 8*

  • Internal components: 2 → 3

  • Engine cooling: 0 → 1

  • Brake cooling: 0 → 1

That gives Ottimale the biggest upgrade package of the weekend. Particularly notable is the temporary downforce upgrade to level 8, which, according to the overview, applies only for this race. On top of that, the team is also improving its technical foundation and cooling systems.

Arrow Racing – targeted performance increase

Arrow Racing is opting for a clear but effective step:

  • Engine performance: 2 → 3

It is a targeted update that improves engine output and strengthens the overall package in one of the car’s most important core areas.

Seawolf NetRace Motorsport – technical fine-tuning

Seawolf NetRace Motorsport is also bringing another upgrade:

  • Internal components: 2 → 3

With this move, the team continues to work on its technical platform and refines the existing package in an important detail area.

Spinardi – a strong package across multiple areas

Spinardi is also among the teams making a visible step forward ahead of Germany:

  • Internal components: 2 → 3

  • Diffuser: 3 → 4

  • Tire change: 2 → 3

This is an exciting overall package, as Spinardi is improving both its technical foundation and aerodynamic platform, while also working on tyre change performance.

Ahead of the German GP, the grid is becoming a little more active again in the development race. While Optiminal Esports, Falcon Simracing, Team Rookie Monsters, Simspark Racing, SVL Racing, Horizon Motorsport and VEGA remain unchanged, Razor GP, Blue Horns Racing, Ottimale EM, Arrow Racing, Seawolf NetRace Motorsport and Spinardi are all bringing new upgrades. The extensive package from Ottimale EM stands out in particular, while Blue Horns Racing and Spinardi are also making strong moves with several fresh upgrades. Once again, it is clear that in VFC 2026, development remains a decisive factor in the battle to keep moving forward.
