It took a long time for Optiminal Esports, after Roy Seifert's retirement shortly after the South African Grand Prix, the seat next to Sven Schubert remained vacant. Now the Dutch team is presenting Heiko Kolvenbach from Cologne as a regular driver until the end of the season!

Team boss Rouven Meschede spoke of the "ideal solution" for the second cockpit.

This is the first time that the two long-time friends Schubert and Kolvenbach have driven together in a team. Time will tell whether there will be any tension between the two.

At Falcon Simracing, the driver process went a little faster. After Schlüter's sacking and exclusion from the league, Michael Falkenhain was presented as his successor before the Grand Prix in Canada. Team boss Johannes Michl said: "I'm very happy that Michael is joining us. We have already had sessions together with Jan Wiegels, the chemistry is right. And his pace has also convinced me, he has a lot of potential. The name says it all."

The German is still an unknown name in VFC, but has already shown flashes of his talent and skill in GPVWC.
