Daniel Scott Joins Rookie Monsters for the 2027 Season

Rookie Monsters has officially confirmed its driver line-up for the 2027 VFC season: Daniel Scott will take over the vacant second cockpit and race alongside team principal and driver Robin Moelling.

Following the upcoming departure of Chris Gitsov, Rookie Monsters had an important personnel decision to make. With Scott, the team brings in a driver who not only has experience, but is also likely to provide plenty of talking points. For Rookie Monsters, it is also a return, as Scott already knows the team environment very well.

Moelling: “Against All Reason, I Chose Daniel”

Team principal Robin Moelling was pleased with the announcement — but could not resist a dig:

“Team Rookie Monsters is very pleased to announce its driver line-up for the 2027 season. Alongside Robin Moelling, meaning myself, the vacant second cockpit will be taken over by Daniel Scott.

Of course, it is very difficult to replace an experienced race winner like Chris. After asking every competent driver, I decided, against all reason, to go with Daniel. I am convinced that he will seamlessly build on his performances from 2026.

Our sponsors asked for more time in the broadcast, and with Daniel, we see the potential for plenty of exciting accidents, start crashes, and DNFs that will provide the stream with enough footage.

To support Daniel, who is clearly suffering from some kind of curse, we will equip his car with a bulb of garlic and a crucifix.”

Scott: “I’m Happy to Announce My Return to RM”

Daniel Scott also commented on his return to Rookie Monsters in his usual direct style:

I'm glad to announce my return to RM. All season I've been hearing, "Please come back Daniel.", "You made the best upgrade choices Daniel." So here I am, back to wipe his arse like the colicky infant he is. Here's where I'd usually say I'm looking forward to getting good results with the team, but at this point we all know if that Diva sees me do better than him he'll just crash me out anyway. He may be half the driver he was last year but he still has the ego of a champion if nothing else. Big thank you to my current team mate James. Who has been abandoned as a result of this farce.
