Starting in the 2026 season, the VFC will welcome several new additions to the starting grid – from returning teams with a history in the VFC to real wild cards. Today, we are pleased to present the five new teams: Horizon Motorsport, Team Rookie Monsters, Seawolf NetRace Motorsport, VEGA Esports and Spinardi.
Horizon Motorsport – Return with a clear message

Horizon Motorsport is back in the VFC – and with a line-up that is sure to get people talking: Jan Wiegels and Fabian Szyrzik will be behind the wheel. Szyrzik in particular is in the spotlight: after his paternity leave, he is returning to the cockpit and is already considered by many to be one of the top favourites for the new season. Horizon not only brings experience to the table, but also the ambition to be among the frontrunners right from the start.
Team Rookie Monsters – new name, new chapter

For Rookie Monsters, 2026 isn't just ‘a start’ – it's a handover: the team is taking over from Valle Esports, building on an existing structure rather than starting from scratch. They are putting their faith in Robin Moelling and Chris Gitsov as drivers – a pairing that promises excitement, especially thanks to Moelling's strong finish to the season.
Seawolf NetRace Motorsport – strong reputation, clear goals

Seawolf NetRace Motorsport is already well known to many fans – especially for its endurance performance. In the VFC, they will be competing in 2026 with Louis Roehn and Alex Woitala. Solid, fast – and with the potential to be right up there at the front on good weekends.
VEGA Esports – familiar face with a strong line-up

VEGA Esports brings with it a name that some sim racing spectators may already be familiar with – and is relying on Mirco Mancini and Tom Oldenmenger in the VFC 2026. This is not a big secret team, but a newcomer that must be taken seriously right away.
Spinardi – the great unknown from Scotland

Spinardi is the ultimate wild card ahead of the season opener. The Scottish team will be competing with Daniel Scott and rookie James Andrews. Andrews in particular will be one of the most interesting personalities: a newcomer in a completely new environment – it could be either a learning year or a surprise year. And that's exactly what makes Spinardi so difficult to assess (and so exciting for the first races).
Outlook
All in all, the new VFC teams offer a really good mix: a returnee with title ambitions (Horizon), a team takeover with exciting dynamics (Rookie Monsters), endurance racing experience as a foundation (Seawolf), a well-known team with a strong duo (VEGA) and a real wild card (Spinardi). When the first races show who is immediately in rhythm, the hierarchy in the field is likely to shift faster than many expect.
